Doug Conley Invitational Results

Rolling Hills Golf Course, Tempe, AZ

The boys and girls traveled to Tempe to compete in the 39th annual Doug Conley invitational. Running on a great golf course, the boys and girls again competed against some very stiff competition from around the state. They held their own, turning in some impressive performances and even walking away with a little hardware.

Division II, Sectional I Results

On Saturday, the boys and girls Skyhawks ran their Division II, Section I meet in hopes of qualifying for the AIA Cross Country State Finals to be held at Cave Creek Golf Course a week later. The event produced some solid performances and a few gutty one's as well.

Deer Valley vs. Kellis and Goldwater

Foothills Park/Skunk Creek Course

The Deer Valley Skyhawks men and women took to their home "cross country" course on Wednesday to face off against RS Kellis and Barry Goldwater High School. It was a hot day, and the temperature took a toll on all the racers. Despite this, the boys came out on top of Kellis (37-71) and fell in a hard fought battle to Goldwater 37-22 (low score wins).

O'Connor Invitational

Saturday, October 8th - Skunk Creek Landfill

O'Connor Invitational Results

The boys and girls Skyhawks made the short drive to the landfill to compete against stiff Division 1 and Division 2 local competition. Miranda Banta and Erin Kloberdanz medalled for the ladies, finishing 15th and 17th overall in 21:34 and 21:36 respectively. This is a career PR for Erin, while Miranda continues to show a devastating kick down the final stretch. Michaella Stone had a very good effort on a challenging course, finishing 55th with a 24:42 effort.
